Another lockdown exploration, and part of my Mindscape Contemplations collection. This piece was displayed in Marylebone at the exhibition Timeless Act - a collection of my abstract work alongside Norman Parkinson’s iconic photography.

A visit to the Italian Alps in 2019 was behind this work. My son and I were going through a difficult time. Life was changing so fast and I felt very responsible for his struggles. A three day break away, driving hims 6 hours from the airport in a hire car, was all we needed to find each other again, and feel the wonder in the world. We walked to see the Matterhorn but all that was visible were its foothills. They were enough, and knowing that its majestic presence was obscured by clouds but towering above us was a moment I’ll always remember.
