A note on the new collection: Waiting for Odysseus

The quiet strength of Penelope threads its way through this most recent collection of six paintings. As new suitors press for her hand, Penelope returns quietly each night to the loom, secretly unpicking her day’s work, holding fast to her vow that only when the weaving is complete will she marry again.
All the while keeping, against her better judgement and that of those around her, the faith that her great love, Odysseus, will return from his voyage.

These paintings draw on the textures of ancient maps, the parched ground of the Greek Islands, and the shifting lines of the shoreline; landscapes where memory, myth and human endurance converge.

All six paintings come ready framed, and the prices reflect this.
