Cradled

60cm x 60cm, oil on canvas.

Five different shaped bowls, different textures, different personalities. Cradled was painted after the death of my father, whose final weeks became a celebration of love as us five children gathered to tend to him and to support our mother. We siblings held each other as we never had before as adults, with gentle strength, tenderness and sensitivity.
